Housing, industrial premises and riverside land sit close together in Colwick. We treat cockroaches in homes and in the units where food and warmth come together.
Industrial areas often have canteens, staff kitchens, goods-in bays and storerooms, with pallets and cardboard stacked for weeks. For cockroaches, that is a good place to settle, and deliveries can carry them in from elsewhere. Our commercial division offers a free survey and a free written inspection report for premises like these. Small repairs, such as sealing a pipe collar, are quick to carry out and remove a route in.
The housing here is a different matter, with the usual warm kitchens and boiler cupboards. Being close to the River Trent does mean some properties can be damp, which suits the oriental cockroach in particular. We identify the species first, treat the harbourages and routes, and advise on damp, waste and sealing. If the problem returns months later, it is worth telling us when it first reappeared, as that helps trace the cause.
Moisture matters to them, particularly to oriental cockroaches. Fixing leaks, improving ventilation and clearing clutter from damp areas make a treatment more likely to hold. That depends on the property, so we look before advising. We explain this on the day, in plain terms.
Our commercial division offers free surveys and a free written inspection report. We look at storage, waste, deliveries and staff areas, then explain what we found. Our advice is based on what we find, not a standard script.
They can arrive in deliveries, boxes or from neighbouring properties and settle where there is warmth, food and moisture.

Read the advice →You do not catch bed bugs by being untidy. You catch them from a suitcase, a coat or a sofa. Knowing that makes the first steps much clearer.
