Small villages in the Trent valley, with farmland and riverside land close at hand, leave rural businesses exposed to rodents from every side.
Marnham stands in the Trent valley north of Newark, and its rural businesses, whether farm, workshop or small enterprise, are surrounded by fields and river margins. Wet ground, ditches and reeds sustain rats, while barns and stores hold feed, tools and stock that mice enjoy. Sheds that are used only from time to time can host a nest for weeks before anyone looks inside.
We carry out a free survey and issue a free written inspection report, visiting by appointment. We check each building, the yard and the field or riverside edge, and note where a rodent could get in. Regular visits are then arranged to follow the farming year, with extra checks at the points when rodents move in, usually autumn. Tell us about drainage channels nearby.
Buildings that are used only occasionally can hold a nest for a long time unnoticed. We check them during the survey and say in the report which ones need proofing or regular looking at.
Droppings, gnawed packaging, shredded nesting material, grease marks along walls and a stale smell are typical signs. If you see any of these, call us and tell us where they are. Report them to us promptly.
Yes. Ongoing contracts help spread the costs of commercial pest control.

A rural home is not out of reach. Bed bugs arrive in a suitcase, a second-hand bed or a worker's holdall, and the first week decides how far they spread.
