People sometimes assume that open land nearby is the cause of an infestation. For cockroaches, it rarely is. The ones we treat live indoors, in warm kitchens and utility rooms, and arrive in boxes, appliances or luggage, or from a neighbour. A home near the M1 or the fields is no different from any other in that respect. Wet cloths and mops left overnight give them water, so wringing out and hanging them up helps.

Treatment goes where the insects are resting and along the routes they use. We then talk through the practical side: sealed food storage, regular bin emptying and filling gaps around pipes.
